ACCOMMODATIONS

The host hotel, the Courtyard Bethesda Chevy Chase, is about 10 miles (30 minutes) from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, 25 miles (37 minutes) from Washington Dulles Airport (IAD), and 36 miles (55 minutes) from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Conveniently located near American University, Friendship Heights metro station and shopping at Chevy Chase Pavilion, this modern hotel is easily accessible making it a hub for those exploring the area and the conference nearby.

A reduced conference rate of $189.00 for standard rooms per night is available to conference attendees until 5:00 p.m. PST on May 20, 2024. The hotel will accept reservations at the reduced conference rate on a space-available basis until the cut-off date. Reservations made after this date will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the nearest available rate. Applied to the room charge will be state and local taxes at the time of check in, currently 13%. Reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card at the time of reservation.

Hotel check-in time is 3:00pm and checkout time is 12:00 noon. The Hotel will try to accommodate requests for early check in and late check out, based on availability. Guests staying in their rooms beyond checkout time without Hotel authorization will be charged all applicable Hotel room charges and fees.

The closest major airport to our conference venue and host hotel is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), located approximately 10 miles from the campus. Alternatively, you can also fly into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which is about 25 miles away, or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), located approximately 36 miles from the university.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

A variety of ground transportation options are available upon arrival, including taxi service, public transportation, private car service, Uber, car rentals, and shared shuttles.
